Annies Kanmani Joy, a IAS officer from the 2012 batch, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs. The appointment, sanctioned by the Department of Personnel and Training, will see Joy serve in this capacity for a period of four years, or until further orders.
Joy, who hails from Kerala, is part of the Karnataka cadre and has a notable background in both academics and public service. She holds a nursing degree from the prestigious Trivandrum Medical College. Demonstrating remarkable dedication and perseverance, Joy secured the 65th rank in her Civil Services Examinations on her second attempt.
