IAS Atul Vats Appointed as Vice-Chairperson of Ghaziabad Development Authority

IAS officer Atul Vats has been appointed as the Vice-Chairperson of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA). This decision comes after his successful tenure as the Vice-Chairperson of the Aligarh Development Authority, where he made significant strides in urban development.

Vats, a 2016 batch officer, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He began his bureaucratic journey as the Assistant Magistrate of Sonbhadra and quickly rose through the ranks. His leadership was evident during his tenure as the District Magistrate of Mau, where he implemented several innovative initiatives for the welfare of the district.

Prior to his appointment at GDA, Vats served as the Chief Development Officer of Sultanpur.

This new assignment for Vats relieves IAS officer Indra Vikram Singh, from the 2010 batch, of his additional charge as the Vice-Chairperson of GDA. Singh currently holds the position of District Magistrate of Ghaziabad.
