IAS Sujata Sharma Designated as Government Nominee Director for IOCL Board

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has appointed IAS Sujata Sharma as the Government Nominee Director to the board of Indian Oil Corporation Limited effective May 11, as disclosed by Indian Oil in a regulatory filing of the stock exchange. She is currently designated as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG).

A 2006-batch IAS officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, Sharma has served as the Secretary of the Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department in Uttar Pradesh and Managing Director of the Pradeshiya Industrial and Investment Corporation of UP Limited (PICUP).

While serving at her home cadre, Sharma served as the Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes in Hyderabad, as District Collector in Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh. She was also designated as the Special Commissioner of Collegiate Education & Technical Education, and Health & Family Welfare in Andhra Pradesh.
