IFS Officer Nidhi Tewari Appointed Private Secretary to PM Modi

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Nidhi Tewari, a 2014-batch IFS officer, as the Private Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Her appointment takes effect immediately.

Tewari has been serving as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) since November 2022. Prior to this role, she was posted as Under Secretary in the Disarmament and International Security Affairs Division at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), where she handled key diplomatic assignments.

Her extensive experience in international relations and security affairs is expected to contribute significantly to her new responsibilities in the PMO.
