IPS Officer Amit Lodha Promoted to ADG Rank in Bihar

The Bihar government has promoted IPS officer Amit Lodha to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADG). Previously serving as Inspector General at the State Crime Records Bureau, Lodha’s promotion has been made effective retrospectively from the date his junior, Ratna Sanjay Katiyar, was elevated.

An IPS officer from the 1998 batch, Lodha is widely recognized for his crime-fighting efforts, particularly during his tenure as Superintendent of Police in Nalanda. His leadership in high-profile operations earned him accolades, including the President’s Police Medal for Gallantry and the Internal Security Medal.

IPS Lodha is also an accomplished author, known for Bihar Diaries, which inspired the Netflix series Khakee: The Bihar Chapter.
