The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Senior IPS Sanjay A. Lathkar (1995 batch, Jharkhand cadre) as IG (Security) under the Department of Atomic Energy.
Lathkar’s tenure in this role will extend until his superannuation on September 30, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. As IG (Security), Lathkar will be responsible for overseeing security operations across DAE establishments, ensuring the protection of sensitive nuclear assets and infrastructure critical to India’s energy security.
