In the aftermath of the recent government formation in Chhattisgarh, a sweeping administrative reshuffle has been undertaken, bringing about key changes in the bureaucratic landscape of the state.
IAS officer P. Dayanand has been appointed as the Secretary to the Chief Minister, concurrently taking on the responsibility of Additional Secretary of the Medical Education Services Department. This strategic move is anticipated to infuse fresh perspectives and expertise into critical administrative functions.
Concurrently, IAS Subrata Sahu has been relieved from the position of Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, marking a shift in leadership dynamics.
Furthermore, several secretaries in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, including IAS Pardeshi Siddharth Komal, IAS Ankit Anand, IAS Dr. S. Bharathidasan, and IAS DD Singh, have been removed from their current positions. It is noteworthy that while their roles in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat have been altered, they are yet to be officially relieved from their responsibilities in other departments.
In a move to streamline operations and bring in fresh talent, three officers, including Dr. Subhash Singh Raj of the State Administrative Service, have been appointed as Officers on Special Duty (OSD). Simultaneously, five OSDs of the State Administrative Service, namely Arun Kumar Markam, Dr. Suraj Kumar Kashyap, Devendra Pradhan, Umesh Patel, and Vishal Kumar Maharana, are slated to be officially relieved upon the assumption of charge by Dr. Subhash Raj.
The district of Jashpur has also witnessed significant changes with transfer orders issued for the Block Medical Officer (BMO) and Food Officer. Dr. Sylvester Tirkey, a distinguished surgery specialist, is set to take charge as the new BMO, succeeding Sandhya Rani Toppo in Kansabel. Additionally, Hemprakash Bhardwaj is poised to assume the role of Food Inspector of Farsabahar, succeeding Alauddin Khan.
