L Satya Srinivas Appointed as CEO of GeM on Additional Charge

The Government e Marketplace (GeM) has announced the appointment of  L Satya Srinivas, Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce, Government of India, as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on additional charge.

An officer of the 1991 batch of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes), Srinivas brings a wealth of expertise to the role. He is currently the Chief Negotiator for India-EU and India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations, as well as overseeing the Special Economic Zones and Trade Intelligence & Analytics divisions within the Department of Commerce.

His extensive experience in public administration and international trade negotiations, combined with his commitment to innovation, positions him perfectly to lead GeM into its next phase of growth and transformation. As the nation’s premier online procurement platform, GeM is set to thrive under his visionary leadership.
