A FinTech startup, Mahagram has launched the GramSevak portal to provide doorstep to the citizens residing in rural as well urban areas. People can use this online platform to access e-governance, banking, and insurance services with the assistance of their local Gram Sevak representatives.

The company in a release on Tuesday said that the GramSevak portal will facilitate citizens to avail of basic doorstep banking as well as e-governance services. These services are offered via digitally-enabled feet-on-street representatives, Mahagram Sevaks. It further added that the portal is designed and developed considering the rural consumers. Through this assisted model, the people lacking technical or financial awareness can even avail these services with ease.
With the launch of the portal, FinTech is expecting to enroll nearly 10 lakh unemployed youth under the GramSeval project, which aims to provide them with a regular source of income.
Mahagram said as India’s FinTech sector is witnessing massive growth and innovation; it expects financial literacy and financial accessibility to grow tremendously.
