Major Administrative Reshuffle Announced, Twenty IAS Officers in the List

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday late evening announced a major reshuffle of IAS officers. As per announcement, fourteen officers have been assigned with new projects at Additional Secretary level whereas four were appointed in-situ as Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading their posts.

The names of these officers are as follows:

1. Nidhi Chhibber (IAS: 1994: CG) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, NITI Aayog.
2. T K Anil Kumar (IAS: 19995: KN) is now Additional Secretary, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development vice Caralyn Khongwar Deshmukh (IAS: 1996: MP).
3. Dheeraj Sahu (IAS: 1996: UP) is now Managing Director, Small Farmers’ Agri Business Consortium, Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
4. Maneesh Garg (IAS:1996: HP) is now Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post to Additional Secretary level.
5. Manisha Saxena (IAS: 1996: AGMUT) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of DS/Director in the Department.
6. Caralyn Khongwar Deshmukh (IAS: 1996: MP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
7. Rabindra Kumar Agarwal (IAS: 1997: KL) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation.
8. Puneet Agarwal (IAS: 1998: TR) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. 
9. Amit Singh Negi (IAS: 1999: UK) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office. 
10. Mugdha Sinha (IAS: 1999: RJ) has been appointed as Director General (Tourism), Ministry of Tourism vice Manisha Saxena (IAS: 1996: AGMUT).
11. Amandeep Garg (IAS: 1999: HP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
12. Ajay Bhadoo (IAS: 1999: GJ) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
13. Ashutosh Agnihotri (IAS: 1999: AM) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs.
14. N Gulzar (IAS: 1999: AP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications.
15. Ashish Chatterjee (IAS: 1999: TN) is the new Managing Director, Tribal Co-operative Marketing Development Federation of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
16. Ashok Kumar Singh (IAS: 1999: KL) is the new Director General, Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, Ministry of Labour & Employment in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.

Following officers in-situ upgraded to the level of Additional Secretary:

1. Bhawna Garg (IAS: 1999: PB) has been appointed as DDG, UIDAI, RO, Chandigarh, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
2. Puneet Yadav (IAS: 1999: WB) have been upgraded as Additional Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions by restoring the post to Additional Secretary level.
3. M Beena (IAS: 1999: KL) has been upgraded as Development Commissioner (Handlooms) in the office of Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
4. Subodh Yadav (IAS: 1999: KN) has been upgraded as Additional Secretary, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti.
