Major Administrative Reshuffle in Haryana: 27 IAS Officers Transferred Across Key Roles

In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Haryana government has announced the transfer of 27 IAS officers across various districts and departments. The changes were confirmed by the Chief Secretary’s office and are expected to bring fresh perspectives to several critical positions within the state’s administration.

Key District Transfers

Ajay Kumar, an IAS officer from the 2013 batch, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Gurgaon, taking over from Nishant Kumar Yadav, who will now serve as the DC of Chandigarh. Meanwhile, Dhirendra Khadgata (2012 batch) has been designated as the DC of Rohtak, signaling the state’s focus on strengthening governance in crucial districts.

Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) have also been appointed across the state: Pradeep Dahiya will take on the role in Jhajjar, Munish Sharma in Charkhi Dadri, Anish Yadav in Hisar, Monika Gupta in Panchkula, Prashant Panwar in Nuh, Preeti in Kaithal, Neha Singh in Kurukshetra, and Vivek Bharti in Mahendragarh.

Senior Departmental Appointments

The reshuffle includes key postings in departmental roles. CG Rajni Kaanthan, from the 2004 batch, has been appointed as Secretary in the Finance Department, while Yash Garg will assume responsibilities as Director of Industries and Commerce. Additionally, Ashok Kumar Garg will take on the role of Commissioner of Gurgaon Municipal Corporation, a significant position in the state’s urban development efforts. Rajesh Jogpal has been named the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, further reinforcing Haryana’s focus on cooperative and industrial growth.

Strategic Municipal Appointments

Several IAS officers have been assigned prominent roles in municipal corporations across Haryana. Dharmender Kumar (2012 batch) has been appointed Commissioner of Rohtak Municipal Corporation, and Ram Kumar Singh is set to join the Revenue and Disaster Management Department as Special Secretary. Other notable postings include Shakti Singh as the Managing Director (MD) of the Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills, Rahul Narwal as MD of CONFED, and Brahmjeet Singh Rangi as Commissioner of Panipat Municipal Corporation.

Further municipal appointments include Vaishali Sharma as Commissioner of Karnal Municipal Corporation, Sachin Gupta as Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Ambala, Aparajita (2018 batch) as ADC of Panchkula and Commissioner of Panchkula Municipal Corporation, and Vaishali Singh (2019 batch) as Administrator of the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran in Gurgaon. Niraj, Anand Kumar Sharma, and Renu Sogan have been appointed Commissioners of Hisar, Mahendragarh, and Manesar Municipal Corporations, respectively.
