Major Administrative Reshuffle in Uttarakhand: 6 IAS Officers Transferred; Meenakshi Sundaram Assumes Key Role as Secretary to Chief Minister

In a recent bureaucratic reshuffle, the Uttarakhand government has implemented significant transfers and appointments in the state.

Meenakshi Sundaram Assumes Dual Role:
The 2001 batch IAS officer, Meenakshi Sundaram, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Uttarakhand Investment and Infrastructure Development Board. Additionally, she takes on the role of Secretary to the Chief Minister.

Vinod Kumar Suman Takes Charge of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare
Vinod Kumar Suman, a 2007 batch IAS officer, now shoulders the responsibilities of Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. He previously served in Secretariat Administration, General Administration, and Protocol.

Deependra Chaudhary’s Dual Responsibilities
Another 2007 batch IAS officer, Deependra Chaudhary, assumes the additional charge of Secretariat Administration, General Administration, and Protocol. His primary postings are as Secretary for Military Welfare and Agriculture and Farmer Welfare.

Vineet Kumar’s Expanded Portfolio
In light of IAS Nitika Khandelwal’s maternity leave, Vineet Kumar, a 2013 batch IAS officer, takes on additional responsibilities, including ITDA and Director USAC. He holds the position of Additional Secretary for Public Works and Forestry Planning.

Ranveer Singh Chauhan’s New Assignments
Ranveer Singh Chauhan, a 2009 batch IAS officer and Additional Secretary, has been relieved of the role of Director, Horticulture. He is now appointed as Additional Secretary for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Drinking Water, and Project Director for Namami Gange.

Deepti Singh’s Expanded Portfolio
Ms. Deepti Singh, currently serving as Labor Commissioner, now takes on the additional responsibility of Director Horticulture.
