Modernizing healthcare services, Apurva Chandra, Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, inaugurated the myCGHS app tailored for iOS devices. The app, dedicated to Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) beneficiaries, promises improved access to Electronic Health Records, vital information, and healthcare resources.
Expressing his excitement for the launch, Union Health Secretary emphasized, ‘The myCGHS app marks a pivotal advancement for CGHS in healthcare services. It equips CGHS beneficiaries with effortless access to crucial healthcare features right at their fingertips. This initiative mirrors the government’s commitment to harnessing technology for enhancing healthcare quality and accessibility.’
Developed by the technical teams of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) Himachal Pradesh and NIC Health Team, the myCGHS iOS app is a user-friendly mobile application packed with features to enhance information and accessibility for CGHS beneficiaries.
The myCGHS app offers a plethora of services, including:
- Booking and cancellation of online appointments
- Downloading CGHS card and index card
- Accessing lab reports from CGHS labs
- Checking medicine history
- Verifying medical reimbursement claim status
- Accessing referral details
- Locating nearby wellness centers, empanelled hospitals, labs, and dental units
- Staying updated with news and highlights
- Accessing contact details of wellness centers and offices
To ensure user data security, the app incorporates robust security measures such as 2-factor authentication and mPIN functionality, preserving the confidentiality and integrity of users’ information.
The myCGHS app is now available for download on both iOS and Android platforms, completely free of charge. CGHS beneficiaries have encouraged to embrace this innovative solution for a seamless healthcare experience.
