National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has unveiled a new corporate identity with the launch of a logo of its infrastructure Investment Trust, National Highways Infra Trust (NHIT).
The new emblem, which embodies the themes of ‘Agility’ and ‘Progress’, marks a pivotal milestone in NHIT’s development journey and is poised to enhance the Trust’s brand visibility and stakeholder engagement.
The unveiling ceremony was led by NHAI Chairman, Santosh Kumar Yadav, at the NHAI Headquarters in New Delhi. The event was attended by senior officials from both NHAI and NHIT. The new logo aligns with NHIT’s core values of Accountability, Agility, Continuous Learning, Excellence, Integrity, and Collaboration.
Registered as a trust with SEBI in October 2020, NHIT plays a crucial role in supporting the Government of India’s National Monetization Pipeline (NMP). Since its inception, NHIT has successfully completed three rounds of monetization, yielding a total value of Rs. 26,125 crore.
NHIT’s portfolio includes fifteen toll roads spanning approximately 1,525 kilometers across nine states: Assam, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. The Trust boasts 190 investors and over 12,000 retail bondholders of its Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs).
Originally, NHIT units were issued at Rs. 101 per unit in November 2021 and are listed on both the BSE and NSE. As of March 31, 2024, the Net Asset Value (NAV) of NHIT stands at Rs. 124.75 per unit. For the fiscal year 2024-25, under the NMP, NHAI aims to monetize projects worth Rs. 15,000 – 20,000 crore through NHIT.
With this new corporate identity, NHIT aims to establish itself as a leading entity in the InvIT space, significantly contributing to the mobilization of financial capital for the further expansion and enhancement of the national highway network across India.
