‘Placemaking Marathon’ winners announced: Smart Cities Mission

The top 6 winners of the ‘Placemaking Marathon’ for reimagining their public spaces and transforming them within 75 hours have been announced. Bhubaneswar, Greater Warangal, Imphal, Kohima, Srinagar, and Pimpri Chinchwad won prestigious awards.

Bhubaneswar bagged the award for Maa Mangla Pokhari rejuvenation. Srinagar was awarded for the Pop-up plaza at Sher-e-Kashmir park junction. Pimpri Chinchwad won the award for 8 to 80 park at Sudarshan Chowk.

‘Placemaking Marathon’ is an initiative under the Smart Cities Mission of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to encourage cities to reimagine their public spaces and transform them within 75 hours.
