Bengaluru: On Saturday, Modi met with and praised the team of Chandryaan-3, who played a crucial role in the successful lunar landing. During his visit to Bengaluru, the Prime Minister addressed and interacted with ISRO scientists at the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network Mission Control Complex (ISTRAC).
Hailing the accomplishments of female scientists in the successful space mission and the Chandrayaan-3 moon landing, Prime Minister Modi additionally announced that the specific location on the moon where Chandrayaan-3 touched down would be named ‘Shivshakti’.
He also declared that the location where its predecessor, Chandrayaan-2 landed successfully, will be officially referred to as the ‘Tiranga’ point.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared August 23 as the ‘National Space Day’, commemorating the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon’s south pole. This remarkable achievement showcased India’s prowess in space exploration and solidified the nation’s commitment to scientific advancement in the field.
