The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has declared its 400/220 kV Bidadi Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) as a ‘Pink Substation’, reaffirming its commitment to promoting women empowerment and leadership in the power sector.
This is POWERGRID’s second Pink Substation in its Southern Region-II, where operations and management are entirely led by women executives.
The substation is headed by Ms. Reeni Rafi Alapatt, DGM, POWERGRID, symbolizing the company’s focus on gender inclusion and diversity in technical and leadership roles.
The inauguration of the Pink Substation was carried out by Shri Mukund Sharad Hejib, CGM (I/C), Southern Region-II, in the presence of senior officials of the region.
