Prasanna Kumar Acharya has taken charge as the Director (Finance) of NLC India Ltd (NLCIL), marking the commencement of his tenure on Monday, January 15, 2024. His appointment was officially announced through a press release issued by NLCIL.
Acharya brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the Director (Finance) at Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL). Prior to his stint at CMRL, he held pivotal positions in esteemed organizations such as Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO), NTPC Limited, and Tata Power.
With a diverse professional journey spanning power generation, transmission and distribution, and mining, he has carved a niche for himself in the industry. His contributions to Metro Rail projects, including his crucial role in the Phase II project of CMRL, have been particularly noteworthy.
