The Government of India has appointed Prof. Rabi Ranjan Sen and Jyoti Bhramar Tubid as Additional Directors (Non-official Independent Directors) on the Board of National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), a public sector undertaking under the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. The appointments are effective from May 5, 2025, for a period of one year or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Prof. Rabi Ranjan Sen, aged 51, brings academic and governance experience to the role. He holds an M.Phil in History from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and currently serves as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of History at Katwa College, West Bengal. His previous tenure as an Independent Director on the Board of Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) adds to his familiarity with the fertilizer sector.
Jyoti Bhramar Tubid, aged 66, is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 1983 batch. Before voluntarily retiring in 2014, he held key administrative positions in the Government of Jharkhand, including Home Secretary, Cabinet Secretary, and Secretary in various departments such as Excise and Prohibition, and Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare. He also served as a Board Member of XLRI Jamshedpur and held board-level roles in several government companies.
