Kochi: To enhance the practical training of Indian Navy personnel, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurated Integrated Simulator Complex (ISC) ‘Dhruv’ at Southern Naval Command in Kochi on June 21, 2023.
The ISC ‘Dhruv’ contains advanced, state-of-the-art indigenously built simulators, aimed at enhancing the practical training in the Indian Navy.
These simulators are designed to give real-time experience in navigation, fleet operations, and Naval tactics. Additionally, the newly inaugurated simulators will also be utilized for the training of personnel from friendly countries.
The advanced-tech simulators demonstrate India's 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' campaign and hold significant potential for defence exports for the nation. Moreover, the other simulators in the Complex feature Combat Management System and the Maritime Domain Awareness Lab.
During the inauguration, Shri Rajnath Singh also interacted with senior representatives from the firms involved in the development of these simulators. He also visited Multi-Station Handling Simulator (MSSHS), Air Direction and Helicopter Control Simulator (ADHCS), and Astronavigation Dome.
Production:
The Ship Handling Simulators, developed by ARI Pvt Ltd, New Delhi, have been exported to 18 countries.
The Astronavigation Dome, the first of its kind in the Indian Navy, has been developed by Infovision Technologies Pvt Ltd.
The ADHCS, developed by Institute for Systems Studies and Analysis, a DRDO laboratory, will provide real-time operational environment scenarios to trainees.
