Sakshi Mittal Appointed as Director of Department of Personnel and Training

Sakshi Mittal, an officer of the 2010-batch belonging to the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as the Director of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). This pivotal decision was propelled by a recommendation from the Ministry of Home Affairs, marking a crucial step in the realm of central deputation.

Prior to assuming this prestigious role, she served as the Special Secretary to the Lt. Governor of Delhi (UT), demonstrating her mettle in navigating the complexities of administrative governance.

The directive, issued by the DoPT, underscores the gravity of his new assignment, urging her immediate release from her current duties to seamlessly transition into her elevated role.

Hailing from a distinguished academic background, Mittal is an alumna of Maitreyi College, where she pursued her undergraduate studies in Economics. Furthering her academic pursuits, she attained a Master’s degree in Economics from IGNOU, Delhi, thereby laying a robust foundation for her career in public service.

Her tenure as the Additional Commercial Tax Commissioner (Director Equivalent) in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) showcased her adeptness in handling multifaceted responsibilities and spearheading initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and governance.
