Saloma Yomdo has been named the new Director (Exploration & Development) for Oil India Limited (OIL). The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) recommended Yomdo for the prestigious position. Previously, Yomdo served as the Executive Director (Exploration & Development) at OIL, showcasing a wealth of experience and leadership in the energy sector.
Yomdo emerged as the top candidate among 12 contenders for the role. The selection process included six candidates from Oil India, two from GAIL India Limited, two from ONGC Videsh Limited, and one each from HPCL and ONGC.
He will also join the company’s board of directors and report directly to the Chairman & Managing Director of Oil India.
