Sanjay Jaju Appointed as Secretary of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting

Shri Sanjay Jaju, a seasoned 1992-batch IAS officer from the Telangana cadre, took over as the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. In a ceremonial welcome, outgoing Secretary Shri Apurva Chandra, along with other officials of the ministry and various media units, greeted Shri Jaju as he stepped into his new role.

Shri Jaju brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise garnered from his illustrious career in public service. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as Additional Secretary to the Government of India from 2018 to 2023 and Director, National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited from October 2014 to March 2018.

Notably, Shri Jaju has also held key positions in the state administration, having served as the Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the Electronics, IT, and Communications Department from May 2011 to October 2014.

Meanwhile, Shri Apurva Chandra has been assigned the charge of Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
