Prayagraj, one of the oldest cities in India improved its Smart City ranking and stands at 11th position. This ranking is decided by the Central government for the 100 cities of the country picked for smart cities. The ranking is calculated based on the report of development work being undertaken and completed by the respective cities.
Prayagraj has witnessed development work under the Smart City Project. The beautification of the city done and the quality of execution has resulted in improving the city’s rank now to 11th rank among the 100 smart cities of the country.
The Union Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has recently released the ranking of 100 Smart Cities of the country. As per the list of March 2021, Prayagraj was standing at 15th place, and in the new list issued in March 2022, the city has improved its ranking and now is at 11th position.
