Solar Defence & Aerospace Ltd Secures ₹158 Cr Defence Contract from Ministry of Defence

Solar Defence & Aerospace Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solar Industries India Limited, has signed a contract worth ₹158 crore with the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The agreement, finalized on June 22, 2025, involves the supply of defence products to be delivered within one year.

The latest order further strengthens the company’s growing footprint in the defence manufacturing sector. This contract marks another significant milestone for the Nagpur-based firm, which is known for integrating solar energy initiatives into its operations.

Previously, the company had secured a ₹239 crore contract from the Ministry of Defence for the supply of Multi Mode Hand Grenades, also scheduled for delivery over a one-year period.

The addition of these orders underscores the company’s increasing recognition as a reliable partner in India’s defence supply chain.
