Sudhansh Pant Appointed Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Shri Sudhansh Pant, IAS (RJ:1991) as Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. He assumes the role following the superannuation of Shri Amit Yadav, IAS (AGMUT:1991) on 30 November 2025.

Sudhansh Pant, a senior IAS officer of the 1991 Rajasthan cadre, brings extensive administrative experience to his new assignment. He most recently served as the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan (2024–2025), where he oversaw key governance, administrative, and developmental initiatives in the state.

Prior to this, Pant held several significant positions in the Central Government, including Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, where he played a leading role in public health administration, and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways.

Known for his policy expertise and administrative leadership, Pant’s appointment is expected to strengthen the Ministry’s initiatives in advancing social justice, empowering marginalized communities, and delivering welfare programmes with greater efficiency and impact.
