Telangana Government Promotes 5 IPS Officers to DGP Rank, Issues New Postings

The Telangana government has promoted five IPS officers to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP) and assigned them new postings.

The promotions and postings are effective immediately, with Abhilasha Bisht’s promotion subject to confirmation from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T) regarding her allocation to the Telangana cadre.

Kothakota Srinivas Reddy (IPS: 1994: TG) is retained in the same post as Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad city in the rank of Director General of Police.

B Shivdhar Reddy (IPS: 1994: TG) is retained in the same post as Director General of Police, Intelligence, Telangana, Hyderabad in the rank of Director General of Police.

Abhilasha Bisht (IPS: 1994: TG) is retained in the same post as Director, RBVRR, Telangana State Police Academy, Hyderabad in the rank of Director General of Police. The Member of Service shall continue to hold incharge for the post of DGP (Training), Telangana, Hyderabad.

Dr Soumya Mishra (IPS: 1994: TG) is retained in the same post as Director General, Prisons & Correctional Services, Telangana, Hyderabad in the rank of Director General of Police.

Shikha Goel (IPS: 1994: TG) is retained in the same post as Director General of Police, CID, Telangana, Hyderabad in the rank of Director General of Police. The Member of Service shall continue to hold full additional charge for the post of Director, TG Cyber Security Bureau, Hyderabad and incharge Director, TG FSL and Women Safety, SHE Teams & Bharosa, Hyderabad.
