The government has approved the appointment of Thirumalai Selvam as Director (Projects) at Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited (SMFCL), a CPSE under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. Selvam, currently General Manager at SAIL’s R&D Centre for Iron and Steel, will remain in the post until June 30, 2029, or until further orders. His selection followed a PESB process on May 1, 2025, where he was picked from 11 shortlisted candidates.
