Three IC IIT Patna-Backed Startups Bag Top Honours at Startup Mahakumbh 2025

In a proud moment for Bihar’s startup ecosystem, three startups incubated at the Incubation Centre IIT Patna (IC IITP) emerged as the winners at the Startup Maharathi Challenge, held during the prestigious Startup Mahakumbh at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The event, which brought together India’s most promising entrepreneurs, saw EYDelta (CEIR Mobility), Bhojpatta Agripreneur, and Ladyfair representing Bihar on the national stage, winning accolades across diverse categories—from deeptech to AgriTech to social impact D2C solutions.

EYDelta, a deeptech startup supported under the MeitY program at IC IITP, secured the top spot in the Defence & Spacetech category. Focused on next-generation electric motor technology for drones, robotics, and EVs, the company has already received over ₹3.5 crore in orders and created 11 full-time jobs. The ₹1 lakh prize recognizes its contribution to India’s hardware innovation landscape.

In the AgriTech category, Bhojpatta Agripreneur took home a ₹1 lakh prize for its zero-carbon emission solar dryer, which helps mitigate post-harvest losses. The startup, supported by B-HUB BSFC—an initiative by Startup Bihar and the Department of Industries, managed by IC IITP—reported an annual turnover of ₹89 lakh, with a focus on sustainability and rural economic development.

The biggest win came for Ladyfair, which bagged a ₹5 lakh prize in the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) category. The startup offers doorstep beauty services across more than 12 cities and employs over 150 women from rural backgrounds. With a reported turnover exceeding ₹36 crore, Ladyfair is redefining women-led entrepreneurship and service delivery at scale.

The trio’s national recognition is being hailed as a milestone for Bihar’s innovation landscape. The Incubation Centre IIT Patna, recently awarded “Best Incubator of Bihar” by the Department of Industries, is at the heart of this transformation—offering structured mentorship, incubation, and strategic support to emerging ventures.

With continued support from Startup Bihar and the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, the state’s innovation journey is gaining national momentum—shaping the narrative of Bihar to Bharat and beyond.
