In a pioneering move to harness the brilliance of Civil Services aspirants who narrowly miss out on final selection, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has launched UPSC PRATIBHA SeTU – a Professional Resource and Talent Integration Bridge. This initiative is designed to connect some of India’s brightest minds with opportunities across industries, academia, think tanks, and startups.
Every year, over 10 lakh candidates apply for the prestigious Civil Services Examination, but only around 3,000 make it to the Personality Test stage—representing the top 0.3% of India’s talent pool. Many among them showcase exceptional analytical acumen, discipline, and subject expertise, even if they do not make the final list.
With the PRATIBHA SeTU initiative, and with candidates’ consent, UPSC will now facilitate access to this high-calibre talent pool for organizations seeking individuals with strong problem-solving capabilities and deep knowledge in diverse fields.
Industry bodies, research institutions, and emerging startups are encouraged to leverage this unique gateway to engage top-tier aspirants who can bring strategic thinking and public policy insights into various domains.
The platform marks a significant shift in talent utilization, aligning with the Government’s broader vision of inclusive and dynamic nation-building.
