On Monday, Apple announced the launch of its new product- the Vision Pro, a mixed reality headset during the Worldwide Developers Conference, 2023 at its Cupertino, California, headquarters.
The device incorporates augmented and vision reality offering immersive viewing and spatial audio. Having a futuristic design, Vision Pro can be controlled using eyes, hands, and voice. Powered by Vision OS, the AR headset can be browsed to use multiple applications, watch streaming content, play games, or join video calls with spatial audio, according to Apple. The most unique feature of this headset is that it has an Eyesight feature, allowing other people to see the eyes of the person wearing the headset, and allowing users to stay connected to their surroundings.
‘Just as the Mac introduced us to personal computing, and iPhone introduced us to mobile computing, Apple Vision Pro introduces us to spatial computing,’ said Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a statement.
As announced by the company, Apple Vision Pro will price $3,499 and will be available from next year starting from selected regions.
The tech giant, Apple also introduced iOS 17, the next operating system for iPhones. It will offer new features such as Contact Posters to give phone contacts more personality, live transcriptions of voice mails, NameDrop for quickly sharing contact information and improvements to autocorrect for text messaging.
