3 IAS Officers Reshuffled in Punjab

The Punjab state government has undertaken significant administrative changes with the recent transfer and posting of three distinguished IAS officers. These appointments aim to bolster key sectors and streamline governance for the benefit of the citizens.

IAS Vikas Garg (1998 Batch) has been appointed as Principal Secretary for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs. He was previously serving as Financial Commissioner of Forests and Wildlife.

IAS Krishna Kumar (1997 Batch) took charge as a Financial Commissioner for Forests and Wildlife Preservation and he continues to serve as Principal Secretary for Water Resources and Principal Secretary for Governance Reforms & Public Grievances.

IAS Varun Roojam (2004 Batch) has assumed the role of Taxation Commissioner in addition to current role as Excise Commissioner.
