The Chhattisgarh government has issued transfer and new posting orders for five IAS officers following the conclusion of the recent urban body and panchayat elections in the state.
According to the official notification issued by the General Administration Department, IAS Abhijit Singh (2012 batch) has been appointed as the Collector of Durg. He succeeds IAS Richa Prakash (2014 batch), who has been relieved for central deputation.
IAS Avinash Mishra (2018 batch), who previously served as the Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation, has been assigned as the Collector of Dhamtari, replacing IAS Namrata Gandhi (2013 batch), who has also been relieved for central deputation.
In other appointments, IAS Vishwa Deep (2019 batch) has been appointed as the Raipur Municipal Commissioner, while IAS Kumar Vishwas Ranjan has been named the Chief Executive Officer of Raipur Zila Panchayat. Additionally, IAS Rena Jameel (2019 batch) has been entrusted with additional responsibilities as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Commerce and Industry, alongside her existing role as Secretary of the Public Service Commission.
The transfer orders were issued by the General Administration Department and signed by Deputy Secretary Anvesh Dhritalhare. The government has termed these transfers a routine administrative process, primarily necessitated by the central deputation of two senior IAS officers.
