The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Yatindra Mohan for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). The recommendation was made on October 23, 2026, following interviews with eight candidates for the leadership position at the public sector engineering and manufacturing company.
Mohan’s selection by PESB marks a key step in the process to appoint BHEL’s next CMD. However, the recommendation is not a final appointment, as his selection remains subject to approval by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). The formal appointment will proceed in accordance with the applicable government approval process.
