Senior IAS Officer Varsha Joshi Granted Two-Year Extension in Central Deputation

Varsha Joshi, a senior IAS officer of the 1995 batch from the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre, has been granted a two-year extension in her central deputation tenure. Joshi is currently serving as the Additional Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying.

According to an official order, her central deputation tenure has been extended for a period of two years beyond her previously sanctioned term. In addition to the extension, her post has been upgraded from Joint Secretary to Additional Secretary for a period of one year.

Joshi has played a crucial role in policy formulation and implementation in the domain of animal husbandry, contributing significantly to the sector’s growth and modernization. Her leadership and expertise have been instrumental in driving various initiatives aimed at enhancing livestock productivity, improving dairy infrastructure, and promoting sustainable animal husbandry practices across the country.
