The Government of India has assigned senior IAS officer Vinay Kumar the additional charge of CVO at the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), according to an official memorandum issued recently.

A 1999-batch Indian Administrative Service officer from the Bihar cadre, is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. His appointment comes following a proposal from the ministry and subsequent approval by the Competent Authority.
As per the memorandum, he will hold the position of CVO for a period of 6 months from the date he assumes charge, or until a regular appointment is made, or until further orders—whichever is earlier.
