IAS Lamchonghoi Sweety Changsan Appointed ACS of Revenue and Disaster Management: Assam

Senior IAS officer Lamchonghoi Sweety Changsan has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Assam. The 1994-batch officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre takes on the new role following her return from central deputation.

According to an official notification, Changsan will also hold the charge of Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Tribal Affairs (Plain). In addition, she has been appointed as the CEO of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).

With a career spanning over two decades, Changsan brings substantial administrative experience from both state and central government assignments. Her appointment to lead two key departments and the state’s disaster management body reflects the government’s confidence in her leadership during critical times.
