Uttarakhand Government Assigns New Roles to IAS Officers and Secretariat Official

The Uttarakhand government has announced fresh appointments for two IAS officers and one officer from the Secretariat Service, assigning them new departmental responsibilities.

IAS Rohit Meena of the 2014 batch has been appointed as the Additional Secretary in the Medical Health and Medical Education Department. Meena, who recently returned from a study leave abroad, had been awaiting a formal posting since reporting back to the Personnel Department.

In a similar move, IAS officer Narendra Singh Bhandari (2016 batch) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Planning Department. Bhandari had been in compulsory waiting after his return to the state and has now received an active departmental assignment.

Alongside the IAS appointments, Secretariat Service officer Santosh Badoni, who was recently promoted to the rank of Additional Secretary, has officially taken charge of the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department.
