Teleconsultation services will be launched at 1 lakh health and wellness centres out of 1.17 lakh operational in the country from April 16. The information was provided by the Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya. He tweeted, that if people residing in remote areas need health-related advice from an expert, teleconsultation services will be very helpful for them.
A week-long celebration under “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” will be organized from April 16 to April 22 by the Union Health Minister to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs).
A meeting was chaired by Mansukh Mandaviya through video–conferencing on Tuesday with health ministers and senior officials of all the states and Union Territories to know the status of AB-HWCs and the teleconsultation services operations. He also guided the officials on the preparation and took the valuable suggestions from them related to celebrations.
The Union Health Minister said that teleconsultation services are very important for people in villages and are enabling the healthcare services for all. The States and Union Territories should mobilize all the stakeholders in offering services at the spokes and proficiently connecting them with the hubs.
