Assam Government Announces Key IAS Transfers in Latest Bureaucratic Reshuffle

The Government of Assam has announced a reshuffle of senior IAS officers, with new postings and additional responsibilities assigned to three officials from the 2011, 2015, and 2016 batches.

IAS officer Hivare Nisarg Gautam from 2015 batch, who had been serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi, has been transferred to the state capital. He has been appointed as Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office, Assam.

In another significant move, Dr. Lakshmanan S. from 2011 batch, currently serving as Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Assam, will now take on additional roles. These include the positions of Managing Director, Assam Medical Services Corporation Limited (AMSCL), and Commissioner, Food Safety & Drugs Administration, Assam. He continues to hold his existing responsibilities as Managing Director, Guwahati Smart City Limited, and Secretary, Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises Department.

Meanwhile, Dr. P. Uday Praveen (2016 batch), who had been serving as Secretary, Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises Department, has been relieved of his earlier additional charges. He has now been posted as Secretary, Agriculture Department, Assam, and will also take on the additional charge of Director, Agriculture, Assam.
