In a major boost to India’s innovation landscape, LG Electronics has signed an agreement with the Noida Authority to invest ₹1,000 crore in establishing a Global Research and Development (R&D) Centre at its Phase-II industrial plot.
The upcoming facility, spread over 21,329 square metres, will serve as a hub for cutting-edge research, product innovation, and technology development, further enhancing LG’s footprint in India’s fast-evolving electronics ecosystem.
According to Noida Authority CEO Lokesh M, the initiative will create around 500 direct jobs and strengthen the region’s reputation as a technology and innovation hub. “This investment will significantly contribute to Noida’s technology ecosystem and reinforce its role as a preferred destination for global tech companies,” he said.
LG officials stated that the new R&D centre underlines the company’s long-term commitment to India and aligns with its strategy to position Noida as a key centre for high-tech research and product innovation in Asia.
