The Haryana government is pleased to announce the appointment of IAS Vijay Kumar Dahiya as the new Commissioner and Secretary of the Archives Department. A 2001-batch officer from the Haryana cadre, Dahiya brings a wealth of administrative experience and dedication to his new role.
Previously serving as the Divisional Commissioner in Karnal, Dahiya’s commendable leadership and commitment have earned him this significant responsibility. He takes over from IAS officer Ashok Khemka, also from the 2001 batch of the Haryana cadre, who has made valuable contributions during his tenure.
Dahiya’s extensive career, marked by his commitment to public service, has positioned him as a capable leader to steer the Archives Department in its mission to preserve and promote the rich historical and cultural heritage of Haryana.
In a parallel development, the Haryana government has entrusted the additional responsibility of Commissioner in the Karnal Division, Karnal, to the capable hands of 2003-batch IAS officer Renu S Phulia. Currently serving as the Commissioner in the Ambala Division, Ambala, Phulia has demonstrated exemplary skills in her current role, making her a natural choice for this additional responsibility.
