The distinguished Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, Swati Meena Naik, hailing from the 2007 batch in Madhya Pradesh, has been empanelled for the esteemed position of Joint Secretary or its equivalent in the Government of India.
Currently holding the position of Managing Director at the Women Finance & Development Corporation and serving as the Ex-officio Additional Secretary in the Women & Child Development Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Swati Meena Naik’s impressive journey is marked by dedication and exceptional achievements.
Naik, a native of Sikar in Rajasthan, secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 260 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination at the tender age of 22, making her the youngest officer in her batch. What sets her apart is the fact that she achieved this milestone without any external coaching, showcasing her innate brilliance and determination.
Having pursued her education at Ajmer’s Sophia Girls’ College, Naik’s family background reflects a strong commitment to public service. Her mother owns a business, including a petrol pump, while her father serves as an officer in the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS).
Before her current role, Naik served as the Director of the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation under the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, underscoring her commitment to crucial sectors of governance. Her diverse experience and exemplary service in key departments have contributed significantly to her empanelment for the prestigious Joint Secretary position in the Government of India.
