Manjesh Porwal Appointed as Deputy Secretary in Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs

Manjesh Porwal, an officer from the Indian Cost Accounts Service (ICoAS), has been selected as the Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) issued an official order on February 20, formalizing Porwal’s appointment under the prestigious Central Staffing Scheme.

Porwal, a member of the 2024 batch of the ICoAS, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this new role. The decision to appoint him as Deputy Secretary stems from a commendation by the Department of Expenditure, highlighting his exceptional capabilities in the realm of cost accounts and financial management.

According to the directive outlined in the official order, Porwal’s tenure in this esteemed position will extend for a duration of four years from the date he assumes office or until further orders are issued, whichever event occurs earlier.

Effective immediately, Porwal is required to transition from his current responsibilities to assume the role of Deputy Secretary within the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
