C. P. Radhakrishnan Appointed as Governor of Telangana, Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry

In an official announcement from Rashtrapati Bhavan, it has been confirmed that the President of India has accepted the resignation of Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan from her positions as the Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. Dr. Soundararajan, who has served with dedication and distinction in these roles, has been relieved of her duties with immediate effect.

To ensure the smooth functioning of governance in both Telangana and Puducherry, the President has appointed C. P. Radhakrishnan, the current Governor of Jharkhand, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry in addition to his existing responsibilities. This appointment is effective from the date Radhakrishnan assumes charge of his office.
