Justice Narendar G Appointed Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of Justice Narendar G, currently serving as a judge at the Andhra Pradesh High Court, as the next Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court. Justice Narendar will succeed Chief Justice Ritu Bahri, who is set to retire on October 10, 2024.

Justice Narendar G, a distinguished legal professional, was initially appointed as a judge of the Karnataka High Court on January 2, 2015. After eight years of exemplary service in Karnataka, he was transferred to the Andhra Pradesh High Court on October 30, 2023, where he has been serving since. As the senior-most judge in his parent High Court in Karnataka, Justice Narendar’s appointment reflects his judicial competence and longstanding commitment to the judiciary.
