Devendra Fadnavis Sworn in as Maharashtra CM; Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar Take Oath as Deputy CMs

Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra in a grand ceremony held at the iconic Azad Maidan in South Mumbai on Thursday evening. Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, key leaders of the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, assumed office as Deputy Chief Ministers during the event.

The ceremony marked a significant political moment for Maharashtra, coming nearly two weeks after the assembly election results were declared on November 23. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union Ministers, Chief Ministers from across the country, and thousands of Mahayuti supporters attended the event, adding to its grandeur.

Eknath Shinde, who played a pivotal role in consolidating support within the alliance, expressed confidence in the government’s vision for a prosperous Maharashtra. Ajit Pawar echoed similar sentiments, highlighting his focus on strengthening the state’s economy and addressing key public issues.

The Mahayuti alliance secured a decisive mandate in the assembly elections, promising to prioritize infrastructure development, investment, and welfare programs. With this leadership in place, Maharashtra embarks on a new chapter of governance and growth.
