Accenture to Set Up Global Delivery Facility in Bhubaneswar

Bhubneshwar: Leading global IT Company Accenture has announced its plans to establish a new global delivery facility in the capital city of Odisha. This was revealed by a senior official from the state government today.

A high-level delegation headed by Ajay Vij, the Country Managing Director of Accenture India, held a productive meeting with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today, engaging in a thorough discussion about the company’s initiatives and proposals for the state.

‘We are excited to set up our presence in Bhubaneswar, a city which is home to leading educational institutions, a rapidly growing IT ecosystem and a rich talent pool. Bhubaneswar will join our large network of existing facilities to deliver transformative technology solutions for clients across the globe and expand our footprint in India,’ said Vij.

The Chief Minister has given his assurance to Accenture, offering complete support to facilitate the commencement of its operations in the state, he further emphasized.

The state-of-the-art facility in Bhubaneswar, set to launch soon, will further expand Accenture’s global delivery network. Its primary focus will be on developing and delivering transformative technology services for clients across various industry sectors.

The official stated that the state government has presented Accenture with a 75,000 sq ft constructed area in the capital city, allowing them to establish their Global Development centre, which can accommodate more than 1,200 people.

Welcoming Accenture to Odisha, Electronics and IT Department Principal Secretary Manoj Mishra said, ‘The entry of Accenture marks a significant milestone for the state and further consolidates its reputation as a top IT investment destination. The state offers investor friendly policies, industrial ecosystem, infrastructure and skilled resource pool.’

He also emphasized the impressive progress Odisha has made in attracting top industries to its thriving IT landscape and its continuous efforts to become a global IT and semiconductor hub. Furthermore, the state has successfully generated substantial employment opportunities.
