New Delhi: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently shared stunning photos of the Ambala-Kotputli Economic Corridor, lauding the project as a revolution in road infrastructure for the states of Punjab, Rajasthan, and Haryana.
Tweeting he said, ‘Impressive photographs showcase the Ambala-Kotputli Economic Corridor, spanning a remarkable distance of 313 kilometers. This transformative project aims to revolutionize the road infrastructure of Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan while incorporating an advanced traffic management system.’
The project is part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-I plan, created by the National Highways Authority of India, which combines greenfield and brownfield improvements and includes a sophisticated traffic management system.
The estimated cost of the project was ₹9500 crore, and it passes through 112 villages in eight different Haryana districts. The plan includes six roadside amenities, parking spaces for trucks and trailers, 16 interchanges, two toll booths, and eight railway overbridges.
The project aims to hasten the comprehensive industrial and economic development of the state of Haryana and provide world-class infrastructure to commuters, with credit given to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his guidance.
