New Delhi: HCL Foundation has collaborated with the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) to train more than 5,000 marginalized women, young people, and artisans to create sustainable income-generating opportunities.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Chief Executive of NCUI, and Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, Vice-President of Global CSR, HCL Foundation in the presence of NCUI President Dileep Sanghani.
The two organizations will establish a livelihood-cum-entrepreneurship development center in Noida, according to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Over the next three years, HCL Foundation and NCUI’s Center for Entrepreneurship Development and Cooperation (CEDC) will develop and provide training infrastructure, market platforms, and branding support to self-help groups (SHGs) and cooperatives throughout India.
HCL Foundation and CEDC aim to increase women and youth employability in the private sector and other organizations through this partnership.
This collaborative initiative is aiming to cultivate a culture of cross-promotion and knowledge-sharing, benefiting the skill and livelihood development of the entire community.
